About Morning Glory Ride 2008
You're invited to join us on Sunday August 3, 2008 for the 27th year of this popular ride for singles, families and clubs. A fund-raiser for the Miami Group of the Sierra Club, this event emphasizes safety and fun. It offers several routes for riders of all abilities.
Morning Glory Ride 2008 begins in the early morning quiet with starts at 4:30 am and 5:30 am from Sawyer Point Park along downtown Cincinnati's riverfront.

One of our sponsor bike shops will be there before the ride to do free minor bike repairs. A special tip of the MGR helmet to them for providing this service. And speaking of helmets, they are required for the ride. In case you don't have one, One of our sponsor bike shops will be selling them at low cost.
Columbia Parkway AND MGR Classic are BACK!
Choose the Family/Leisure ride or the Morning Glory Classic ride then log some optional miles and hills on the special Bonus ride for hill-lovers.

Here's a great article on Safety Guidelines by Steve Magas, The Bike Lawyer. If you haven't time to read it now, at least remember these guidelines:
Safety First!
- Most of the roads you'll ride on will not be closed to automobile traffic
- Corner workers do not control or stop traffic
- Obey all traffic laws
- Ride with traffic
- Ride in a predictable manner ie don't make sudden moves such as swerving, changing lanes or changing direction
- Stay Alert
- WEAR A HELMET and have head and tail lights, as required by Ohio Law. Reflectors and light colored or reflective clothing are also a very good idea
Some corner volunteers will have cell phones. In the event of an emergency, find the nearest phone and dial 911. If you own a cell phone, please bring it with you on the ride.
