Volunteer Tasks
Without our volunteers, there'd be no Morning Glory. Thank you!
And as another thank you, all volunteers get a free ride ... Morning Glory Ride, that is.Here's a description of some of the volunteer jobs we have available.

From now until the day of ride
- Volunteer Recruitment - help us recruit other congenial folks to help you help us. Sign up your friends and co-workers. Work from home at any convenient time.
- Distribute Flyers/Literature - make sure the local bike and other sports shops have the posters and flier they need to help promote the ride. Takes a few hours of one day. All of the stops on your "route" will be in the same general vicinity.
Day before ride (Saturday August 2, 2008)
- Setup - Set up tables, chairs, signs etc.
- Rider Registration - sign up riders, distribute ride packets to pre-registered riders
- Stuff Rider Bags - prepare ride packets
- Logistics/Driver - run errands, make last-minute purchases, etc.
- Whatever's Needed - be there, be useful
Day of ride (Sunday August 3, 2008)
Even if you want to ride the Morning Glory, you can still volunteer on Sunday; riders can also be corner volunteers, help with setup, registration, parking and more. Just check the Rider box on the signup form and we'll make sure you get to pedal.
- Corner Worker - direct riders along route, remind them of safety rules (but don't try to direct traffic)
- Setup - set up tables, chairs, signage, assist vendors
- Parking - set up signage, direct riders to parking lots
- Rider Registration - register riders, distribute ride packets
- Setup & Serve Breakfast - assist caterer, serve food, check wristbands, etc.
- Drive SAG Vehicle - drive truck/van/station wagon or car with bike rack around the route, offer assistance to any riders who need help
- Teardown & Cleanup - stack tables and chairs, pack ride materials back into our truck, pick up trash
- Whatever's needed - be there, be useful
